In this performance, my idea of reinterpreting the vagina and reconstructing another member, like another part coming out of my body, becomes a violent act, almost difficult to watch. It’s hard to talk about something that is historically seen and treated as sacred, even taboo, but also dangerous, even disgusting.
This construction, based on destruction to create something new, made me question more and more about the way in which the female body, loaded with prejudices and classifications by the other, mainly by religions and patriarchal societies, can reinterpret, reintegrate and create new representations and classifications for oneself. In this performance I seek these answers, even if the first was found by a violent act. First I denounce this body which is responsible for stereotypes, and then find solutions to demystify it.
